My interest in art began during my time in Houston as a real estate broker: I realized I enjoyed doing the graphic house ads and business newsletter more than selling the houses! Moving to Seattle in 1989, I enrolled in and graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle. For seven years I worked independently as a graphic designer until I decided I wanted to create art that had more permanence.
I was introduced to pottery by a friend and quickly became absorbed in this artform.
I have been working with clay since 1998, and have taken numerous classes at the Pottery Scool, Pottery Northwest, Seward Park, and Bruning Pottery.
For the past 6 years I have shared a private studio in Rainier Valley.
It is a joy—and honor—to know my pottery is being used and/or displayed in the homes of my customers. I really enjoy the satisfaction that comes from expressing myself in this medium.
I like to see my art as expressing through shape and color my inner spirit of joyfulness, peacefulness, and hope.
